Paragon Education is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Pershore. You will work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to education.
What the role involves:
- Supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one and small group basis
- Assisting with adapted learning activities and classroom support
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and social development
- Supporting pupils with communication and emotional regulation
- Implementing EHCP targets and individual support strategies
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
What you’ll need:
- Experience working with children with SEND in a school or similar setting
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning and behavioural needs
- A proactive and reliable attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
