Paragon Education is supporting a well-respected SEN school in Sutton Coldfield in their search for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their individual learning goals.

What the role involves:

• Supporting pupils with a variety of SEND needs, including ASD, SEMH, and MLD
• Assisting with personalised learning programmes and classroom activities
• Helping to create a calm, safe, and positive learning environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
• Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
• Contributing to behaviour management in line with school policies

What you’ll need:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based experience desirable)
• Patience, resilience, and a caring, flexible approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
