SEN Teaching Assistant - Norwich

A rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a dedicated SEN setting in Norwich.

Paragon Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive school in the Norwich area to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, helping them to access learning in a structured and nurturing environment.

This position would suit someone patient, resilient and passionate about making a genuine difference in children’s lives.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiation
• Supporting pupils with EHCP targets
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping to create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting)
• A calm, empathetic and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
• Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) desirable
