A supportive primary school in Handsworth is looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEND provision.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs within a nurturing and structured environment.

The Role

• Support pupils with communication and learning difficulties
• Deliver sensory and communication-based interventions
• Use visual supports and behaviour regulation strategies
• Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to support learning outcomes
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence

Candidate Requirements

• Experience supporting children with SEND needs
• Understanding of autism and communication strategies desirable
• Positive, proactive, and patient attitude
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Experience within a primary school setting preferred
