Paragon Education is recruiting a resilient and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and well-structured school in Worcester. The school specialises in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, creating an environment where students feel understood, supported, and able to succeed.

In this role, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to engage positively with their learning. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that values consistency, patience, and strong relationships.

What the role involves:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
• Supporting students in managing emotions and developing positive behaviours
• Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Implementing behaviour support strategies and following individual plans
• Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and wellbeing

What you’ll need:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
• A calm, patient, and consistent approach
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model
• Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
