SEMH Teacher – North Bristol (Filton Area)

Paragon Education is recruiting a committed and resilient SEMH Teacher for a specialist provision in North Bristol (Filton area). The setting supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs who require structured teaching, consistency and strong relationship-based support.

This role is ideal for a teacher confident in behaviour management and passionate about supporting pupils who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated lessons to small SEMH classes (KS2–KS4)
• Implement behaviour support plans and restorative approaches
• Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and resilience
• Track academic and pastoral progress
• Work closely with pastoral teams and safeguarding leads

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience in SEMH, alternative provision, or PRU settings
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Calm, consistent and professional approach
