Contract: Full-time, long-term

A rewarding opportunity for a resilient and committed Secondary Teacher to support students with SEMH needs in a specialist Liverpool provision.
Paragon Education is working in partnership with a specialist secondary setting in the Liverpool area to recruit a dedicated SEMH Secondary Teacher. The school supports students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, many of whom require additional structure, consistency and therapeutic support to succeed academically and personally.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is confident, patient and passionate about making a meaningful impact in an alternative or specialist education setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
- Implementing clear behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Building strong, positive relationships with students
- Working collaboratively with pastoral teams and support staff
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school
- Experience supporting students with SEMH (mainstream or specialist)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A calm, resilient and consistent approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
