A highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced and resilient Primary Teacher to support pupils with SEMH needs within a specialist Lancashire setting.
Paragon Education is working in partnership with a specialist primary provision in Lancashire to recruit a dedicated SEMH Teacher. The setting supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, many of whom require structured routines, consistent boundaries and a nurturing approach to re-engage positively with education.
This role would suit a teacher who is confident in managing behaviour, committed to inclusive practice and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering differentiated primary lessons tailored to individual needs
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs through structured and consistent classroom practice
- Implementing behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCO and external professionals
- Monitoring progress in line with EHCP targets
- Creating a safe, stable and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience teaching within a UK primary setting
- Experience working with SEMH needs (mainstream or specialist)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Resilient, patient and adaptable approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
