At Paragon Education Recruitment Ltd, we are dedicated to supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We work with schools and local authorities across the West Midlands to provide 1:1 and small-group tuition for secondary pupils, helping them engage with learning and achieve their full potential.

We are seeking experienced SEND Tutors and Teachers to deliver tailored tuition in English, Maths, and Science for secondary-aged learners (KS3–KS5), supporting their academic progress and emotional well-being.

Role requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching or tutoring experience, ideally with secondary-aged pupils with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Experience teaching English, Maths, and/or Science to KS3–KS5 pupils
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent experience
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Paragon Education)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and safe learning environments
  • Right to work in the UK

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised, trauma-informed tuition sessions in English, Maths, or Science
  • Plan lessons tailored to individual learning needs and ability levels
  • Provide regular feedback and progress reports to parents, schools, and local authorities
  • Build positive relationships with secondary-aged pupils to encourage engagement and confidence
  • Maintain professional standards in safeguarding, planning, and reporting
