What the role involves:

• Planning and delivering engaging music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Encouraging student participation in both practical and theory-based activities
• Supporting pupils in developing performance and composition skills
• Preparing students for assessments and GCSE music where applicable
• Organising or contributing to school performances and events
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations

What you’ll need:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching music in a UK secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge in both practical and theoretical music
• Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities
• Good classroom management and organisational skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
