What the role involves:

• Planning and delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Inspiring students to develop a passion for reading, writing, and critical analysis
• Preparing pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations
• Using a variety of teaching methods to engage learners of all abilities
• Tracking student progress and implementing targeted interventions where needed
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

What you’ll need:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature curricula
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
