A vibrant and diverse primary school in Handsworth is seeking a passionate Reception Teacher to cover a maternity leave from October half term until the end of the academic year.

The school has an excellent Early Years setting with extensive indoor and outdoor provision, a skilled support team, and a warm, inclusive ethos.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the EYFS framework
• Monitor and assess children’s development using observation and play-based learning
• Foster a nurturing environment that supports all children
• Work collaboratively with Early Years colleagues and TAs
• Build strong, supportive relationships with families

Requirements:

• QTS and recent experience in an EYFS or Reception setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early child development
• A creative and child-centred approach
• Ability to work as part of a wider team
