About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive maths lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students, fostering their understanding and confidence in mathematical concepts.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to make mathematics accessible and enjoyable, encouraging active participation and critical thinking among students.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing timely feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals and overcome any challenges they may encounter.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching practices and initiatives, promoting a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
• Engage students in practical activities, problem-solving tasks, and real-world applications of mathematics to enhance their mathematical skills and prepare them for future success.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification in mathematics.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for mathematics, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality and effective lessons that promote student engagement and attainment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of developments in mathematics education, with a willingness to participate in relevant training and CPD opportunities.
