About the Role:

Paragon Education is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a secondary school in Wolverley as soon as possible. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential support to students in their learning and personal development within a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning needs.
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering differentiated lessons and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Support students in accessing the curriculum, participating in classroom activities, and developing their social and emotional skills.
• Foster positive relationships with students, providing encouragement, motivation, and guidance to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
• Assist with the organization and preparation of learning resources and materials, including adapting resources to meet the needs of individual students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other staff members.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the academic and personal development of students.
• Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with diverse needs.
