KS1 SEMH Teacher - Kidderminster

Start Date: April 2026

Paragon Education is recruiting a dedicated and nurturing KS1 SEMH Teacher for a specialist provision in Kidderminster. This setting supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, providing a structured and therapeutic environment where children are supported to re-engage with learning and develop positive relationships.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is resilient, patient, and passionate about making a meaningful difference during the crucial early years of a child’s education.

Key responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated KS1 lessons
• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs through structured routines and clear expectations
• Implementing behaviour strategies and emotional regulation approaches
• Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCO and external professionals
• Monitoring progress in line with EHCP targets
• Creating a safe, nurturing and consistent classroom environment

Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching KS1 pupils
• Experience supporting SEMH needs (mainstream or specialist)
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
