Paragon Education is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in Kidderminster. The school maintains high expectations for behaviour and learning, providing a structured environment where students can stay focused and engaged.

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain further experience in education or for those who enjoy working with young people in a fast-paced school setting. You will play a key role in ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences.

What the role involves:

• Supervising classes using pre-prepared lesson materials
• Ensuring students remain on task and complete assigned work
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Providing guidance and support where appropriate
• Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress
• Supporting the wider school team when required

What you’ll need:

• Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting
• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Good organisational skills and reliability
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
